16. Peace, justice and strong institutions

Since 2013, Venezuela has been going through an economic crisis. We need to understand that people only leave their country in extreme situations of insecurity.

The Municipal Council for International Cooperation, GRIS, annually provides resources for emergency aid and subsidies to approximately 15 projects in the South. All these projects are monitored by residents of Evergem.

What will become of us if we do not help or take care of our grandmothers? Knowing that without them, there will be no transmission of the cultural values of our family and community.

Doña Claudia and her husband, Don Reinaldo Gonzales live in an poor neighborhood of Tegucigalpa. The twins entered the home, ´El Hogar Diamante´ very malnourished. It has been a great help for the twins, as now they live a normal development.

In this report, we have gathered all possible records to express the anguish and anxieties of our people, as well as to sensitise them to the struggle for the removal of this wall that causes us a feeling of abandonment, exclusion.

Our community is located in the interior of the Brazilian State of Maranhão. A large portion of it is flooded. That is where we catch fish for our own consumption and also to sell. With the arrival of a transmission line company, the community has been badly affected.
