Access to water is a problem and water quality is a major problem in many areas of the world today. 
In Tatum the chief town of Nkum Sub-Division of the N.W. Region of Cameroon nearly everybody is without access to safe drinking water.
Women and children have to queue for hours or walk for many kilometers to collect water that is contaminated.

The youth, the backbone of the nation, represent 65% of the Cameroonian population, a majority of which are unemployed.

I, Koda, was once part of this out-of-work youth.

I am a learning facilitator in Nagaoundere in the region of Adamaoua in Cameroon, I would like to broach the topic of the school drop-out rate, which is on the rise in the country.

Many young people quit school each year, to the complete indifference of parents, opinion leaders, administrative authorities, and of society in general. This tends to trivialize this very serious problem.

The Dja Biosphere Reserve (DBR) in the eastern region of Cameroon is a world heritage site in the Congo basin, which has a wide variety of plants, animals and streams. A young man tells us that poaching is no longer a way for him to improve his life. He was able to take a course, which contributed to a reduction in poaching.
