13. Climate action

Kivalina, a remote Alaskan village, could disappear in a few years because of global warming and coastal erosion. It is most likely to be swallowed by the sea.

The region, where I come from, is located in the Sahelian zone. It is suffering the consequences of the advance of the desert.

In my region, we are facing serious problems related to climate change, and deforestation is the main cause.

Water sources across the Western Cape were running low. If this catastrophe taught us anything, its that we need to re-think the way we use water. Water is life- there is no replacement!

The experience I am sharing with you takes place in Tapoga, a village northwest of Benin, about 700 km from Cotonou. It is enough to identify the right means and couple them with fierce determination.

As long as there are still the existence of destructive developments like coal plants, we cannot say that our country is developing.

I found that there is a misconceived idea that trees are incompatible with urban environments. This is not true because with prior planning we can live harmoniously with them.  In addition to enriching the city, it will improve the quality of life of the inhabitants. 

I believe it’s important to know about vegetarianism and debunk some of its misconceptions. There are many reasons why #IDONTEATMEAT.
