At the age of 16, I left the Congolon mountain in Lempira, Honduras. I did this in order to go and study in the western region of Honduras. Where I grew up, I used to live in the open. I really enjoyed the climate as well as the fresh air, the abundant crystal clear waters, the green mountains and all the wonders and blessings from God.

I am Cecilio, a farmer from the community of Carrizal in Yamaranguila, Intibucá, Honduras. I used to cultivate traditionally and had to migrate temporarily to other territories to obtain some income.
I did not have sources of employment that could satisfy my family's needs.

My name is Norma Angélica Licona, welcome to the Educational Family Center for Honduras Development, located in Nueva Esmeralda, Guaimaca, Francisco Morazán. Since 1999, when the center was created, we have been dedicated to training young people who have very limited resources and come from protected areas close to Guaimaca. Many Young people come to us with hope, enthusiasm, the will to succeed and looking for better opportunities.
